Vest Fit & Sizing Advice
Which vest size should I choose?
Start with the size you normally wear in outerwear. Our vests tend to fit generously. If you’re between sizes, size down.
Can I layer a vest over clothing?
Yes, our vests are suitable for layering. Measure over the clothing you plan to wear underneath, and use your usual outerwear size as a starting point.
How much longer is a tall vest?
Tall vests are approximately 2 inches longer than regular, on average. This is an approximate difference, not an exact measurement for every style.
How should I measure?
For vests and other outerwear, measure over your clothing. For shirt sizing, don’t measure over an additional clothing layer.
These measurements apply to Wyoming Traders jackets and vests. Measurements are in inches.
Men’s Jackets & Vests
Keep the measuring tape snug but not tight. With your arms relaxed at your sides, measure around the largest part of your chest and shoulder blades, or your belly—whichever is larger.

Women’s Jackets & Vests
Keep the measuring tape snug but not tight. With your arms relaxed at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your bust and over your shoulder blades.
